If you received an enforcement action, then that would be why. If not, you would need to email xboxambs @ microsoft.com (remove the spaces) to contact Ambassador staff.

Thank you for reaching out to the forum. I am sorry to hear that you got removed from the program for breach of the Terms of Use. You should go and request a case review with the Enforcement team for a possibility to get the ban overturned, to continue on
the Ambassador program. And if everything seems in order, write an email to xboxambs @ microsoft.com (remove the spaces) to contact Ambassador staff.

Xbox Ambassador Program Terms of Use:

If an account's Xbox Ambassador status is removed due to an enforcement action from the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement Team, that account will be unable to rejoin the XA unless the enforcement is overturned via the Case
Review process.

Just to confirm..found this on a thread from last year which was a response from the Ambassador support people to someone:

"When an Xbox Ambassador receives an enforcement, their Ambassador status is automatically removed. Their account then becomes ineligible to rejoin. In the future, we may allow former Ambassadors to return; however, there is no guarantee that this will happen."

It also shows a screenshot which confirms the one year enforcement action requirement

I got the same back in 2019 and I was an Xbox ambassador aswell I got removed from that and coms banned and now I can’t get my ambassador status back because of their mistake
