Request - toggle to use 120hz if available on 60 screens (force higher FPS)

The same deal with how any resolution above 1080p automatically is downsampled - the actual real life application feels pointless, but rendering more frames means less latency, and that's why I ask. I play a handful of PC games at much higher refreshes than I can see, having this option would be really nice.

    1440 @120hz or 4K HDR @60hz

when i turn on freesync it automaticlly drops the hz down to 60, now way to have freesync on and 120hz
If FreeSync "drops" to 60, this means that the game is only able to render in 60 fps. The publisher probably frame locked the game to run at 60Hz, and not more.

FreeSync doesn't make frame rates go higher. FreeSync means, that the monitor refreshes the screen at the same fps/Hz rate as the game is rendering a full screen image.

If a game runs at 60 or 30 or less frames per second, the monitor adjusts to that frame rate. And if the game has enough resources and is not frame limited to render frames faster than 60Hz, the monitor will also follow that refresh rate and refresh the
screen display at the same rate as the game is sending a screen image.

Not all games are frame unlocked, and therefore not all games run at 120Hz, and so if you turn on FreeSync, and the monitor "drops" to a certain fps/Hz refresh rate, it's because the game won't send frames faster than that.

Specifications in a monitor for playing Xbox One X Games

    Hello

You can use 1080P or 1440P at 120Hz but due to hardware limitation you will only be able to use 4K at 60hz.

But since Games on the Xbox One X are only Running at 60FPS or 30FPS depending on the game you wont see much of a benefit.

Having a higher refresh rate allows you to see more frame for example 60Hz Screens allows up to 60FPS, 120Hz Screens Allows up to 120 FPS to display on the screen

If you use freesync at 120HZ will it bit just lower the HZ down to 60 to match the game FPS anyway?

Will Xbox one support PC resolutions like 1280x768? answer

    @ WolfDre2011:

    .

You don't really want a 120Hz TV for gaming. 120Hz TVs are different from 120Hz monitors. The monitor will allow a full refresh rate of 120Hz and display any frames up to 120 fps as they are input into the monitor. The TV only takes a 60 fps input, then
generates 'in between' frames out of the next two to be shown and interposes the frames that it creates out of two images in between the frames it is actually getting as input. So you will have MORE delay while gaming on a 120Hz TV than you would with a 60Hz
TV because it needs time to process and interpolate its generated frames. Not to mention that HDMI only supports 60 fps, and both the One and the PS4 will be playing games that are likely locked at 60 fps max.

    .

The only time you want 120Hz is when you are connected by DVI to a monitor with a computer powerful enough to sustain over 60 fps in your games, and you would have to use a 120Hz monitor because it actually accepts 120 fps. I'm just hoping to save you money
because 120Hz mode on a TV is going to give you more delay instead of less so if you are buying a TV for your new console and you see one you like that has 60Hz for cheaper then you might want to go with that.

Game DVR won't record in 60fps

Hi Benmc5! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

What game are you trying to record at 60 fps? Does your Oc can run the game at that frame rate? As you can enable the option to maximum record at 60 fps but if your PC only runs the game at 35 fps the screen recording can't be higher than that
