Request/Support with the on-screen keyboard

Problem solved by Microsoft tech support! My usb keyboard was the problem. After I unplugged it an on screen keyboard popped up.

Unfortunately, split screen mode in Fortnite requires two controllers to be connected to the console. It is not possible to play split screen with a combination of a controller and a mouse & keyboard. You will need to have two controllers to play split screen mode in Fortnite.

You will.have.to.purchase a.second controller keyboard.

You will be.hardpressed to find a game that supports keyboard and mouse on 2 players

It will work straight away for text input during messaging and the likes.

Every time the Xbox would show a virtual keyboard on the screen for text input, the keyboard will work.

As for games, the game has to be specifically made to support keyboards.

Not all games are able to use keyboards.

For example Fortnite and Minecraft are popular examples for games that work with an USB Keyboard and USB mouse.

Imagine using reddit as an official support requests medium.

As for the onscreen keyboard, I get it, you wanted your own keyboard to be used instead of whatever keyboard the games offered. The problem with quomodocunquization is that it often fails to "remember the human", to quote a popular phrase from your favorite support medium platform. And when you forget the human, the human tends to get upset and you tend to know they're upset very quickly.

In other words, your keyboard is a piece of manure and you also knew exactly what you were doing when you took away the "disable on-screen keyboard" switch. And predictably, it's losing customers. So please, stop trying to be helpful and just leave gameplay alone. And put a switch to disable that Schlimmbesserung of a keyboard or, better yet, take said keyboard away entirely, so some poor future soul does not elevate their blood pressure to unhealthy levels by accidentally turning the eyesore on.
