Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you intended to purchase some Xbox games as a gift for your grandson, but you instead purchased them to own on your account. There is no way to transfer game licenses between two different
Microsoft accounts. The best way to resolve this issue is to request a refund
for those items, and
complete the transactions as gifts. If you are unable to receive a refund, there is a way to share those games to your grandson's account by utilizing the

home Xbox feature. Be sure to let us know the results!

I bought through microsoft. The game shows on my order history but there is no install button Order number [Mod Removed]

On the order page, under the product, do you see an option View gift code visible?

If not, then this means you didn't use the buy as a gift option. Thus, your grandson will need to sign into your account to play the game on their Xbox. They would either need to leave your account signed into your account or set the Xbox to your home Xbox.

You could request a refund for that game, you can do this via this page here: Request a refund for digital games | Xbox Support.

Once your refund is accepted, then go back and select buy as gift using the gift icon which is found when you click onto the ellipsis icon ( ... ), next to the shopping trolley icon.





This will purchase the game and you will see a code that you can send over to your grandson for them to redeem on their account.
