    I would like to delete an account that I made 10 years ago that I no longer have access to because of the phone number or can you guys update the **** phone number request that I made a week ago instead of taking a whole **** month?

    I am Lumie and I would love to assist you today. Please keep in mind, this is a user forum, we are not Microsoft.

    In this case, a Microsoft agent would not do this for you. They cannot close an account without you first authenticating yourself through the system you are already using. A bypass of the 30 day wait also cannot be done, you should wait. There is no other system in place to do this, I am sorry for the grim answer.

    I spoke with a representative about the problem, if haven't tried youself, try deleting your account from the console, restart the console, then add your account back.

    You can cancel the account, not delete it. Just contact Microsoft by using their support phone number or talk to a Microsoft Representative by a Online Chat.

    the only way for it to be deleted is if it represents bad language and stuff like that or if it gets reported

    I have the same problem (0x80040206) and I've tried everything, power cycling, restarting router/modem, deleting app, removing profile, deleting system cache, checking my packet loss(0%),and more. I've talken to representative after representative trying
    to find a solution and they can't help me. SOMEONE PLZ HELP
