Reported via console: Paying more than the original price for a game on sale

Dont the americans have to pay sales tax on top which would mean the xbox is actually more expensive in america than the list price. Prices in america usually exclude tax where our prices include it.

Yes, I've already verified this on my own (the price on 360 and on Xbox One and on the Xbox Store website.

My disappointment is that someone put ACII in the Deals with Gold section on the 360, but at full price.

That's poor supervision (why was it not corrected?) or deliberate trolling--perhaps both.
All it seems I can do is report the issue via phone or webchat tomorrow and wait until the game goes on sale again (the other AC games seem to go on sale more than ACII, which is why I do not have it yet).

the difference is Origin is a show of publishers controlling their own pricing model entirely, I know valve publish too but they offer competition on the service too. If Publishers get to control pricing Origin shows what happens. Publishers controlling
their own prices entirely will mean no sales nothing like that as you said you get $200-$300 worth of retail stuff for $75 on steam Publishers won't want that they'll want people paying that $200-$300 in the short sighted belief that by charging more they'll
make more money rather than finding more sales generating more money for them.

no game included, the offer is for the price difference, as Europeans and Australians pay a lot more for the console than in the states.

Yes I know what the prices are known to be, what I am saying is, I want to know if there will be sales and prices will drop over time with digital.

As it is no trade-ins, the one reason I am unattracted by consoles is that the prices of games is very steep versus PC, I can easily wait for a steam sale or put it on a wish list and wait to be notified and pick up a game for £7, rather than pay £50.

I know what the prices are "known to be" and what the release price is scheduled to be, but the prices of games is the most unappealing thing about consoles.

Great exclusives, crap prices.
