Reported Griefer, now can’t go online

I reported a griefer in Red Dead Online for possible modding. My horse was frozen in place, I could not parley with him, after killing him easy three or four times he suddenly is super aggressive and unstoppable. I reported him as someone who might be
using mods and in the middle of his attacking me his red dot disappeared. I checked his profile and he’s one of those GTA players with a dunce cap. 20 minutes later I can’t access any games online. Error code 0x8B050033 0x00000000 0x00000201. Is this a known
error code? Am I being targeted for DDOS attack or something. Internet is good, console is connected, gateway is secure, I just keep getting update errors. Seems suspicious due to timing.

Xbox is aware of this issue and is working on a fix. In the meantime you can try and offline update or the update troubleshooter. I'd also
advise doing a powercycle of the console. There is currently a service alert up related to this https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status

Hi, it looks like there is currently a service issue affecting a wide number of Xbox users. The codes you're seeing are the same or similar to the ones that it looks like other users are currently reporting, and are usually associated with issues regarding
Xbox updates. They wouldn't be related to a potential
DDOS attack.

I would check the
Xbox Live Status Page to monitor the status of the issue; you can also request a notification there for when the issue is resolved. If for some reason you're still having any issues after the outage is resolved, I'd recommend coming back here and making
a separate thread at that time. Hope that helps!

And yes I agree , the modders and griefers never get hit with anything. Just the good players that do 1 thing wrong and can’t enjoy playing especially now these days.

Did you and your friend report the griefers?

The team investigates all reports, in defending your friend, did you say something that could be seen as offensive or abusive?

The enforcement team takes things at face value, it doesn't matter why you said something or in what context, just that you said it.

Anyone's best option with griefers is to report them, sometimes griefers are trying to get you to respond and say something, just so they can report you.
