    I was lagging in a competitive match in diamond division and everyone on the other team reported me for cheating but I wasn't doing anything it was lag and they started cursing me off and I'm worried I will get banned for nothing because 8 people reported
    me

    Falsely reported for "Lag-switching"

    Hello!

    First off please do not name and shame other gamers as it violates the Xbox.com Forum Guidelines. Also if you did not violate the Code of Conduct and/or the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use you have nothing to worry about, people do not get suspended just for getting
    reported the XBLPET actually looks at each report to ensure its accuracy.

    Enforcement always check the logs and information they have access to, just because you get reported does not mean an enforcement is made, if there is no proof then no enforcement will be made, and those making the false claims could be in fact breaking
    the TOS. Unless you were abusive back or broke the TOS you should have nothing to worry about.

    Lag switching needs to be a bannable offense

    "Lag switching" is bannable.

    Just report the player and move on.

    You will need to use the tools you have on your console:
    support.xbox.com/.../chat-terms-of-use-conduct



    That link will show you how to file a complaint, mute, block communications, and avoud a player. That is all you can do. It can take weeks for the XBLPET to review a complaint, so don't worry. Just do the things listed in that link and move on.



    On a side note, make sure to not name and shame other users on this website.

    If you have already reported the player using the tools on your console you have already taken the appropriate action. That is the only way to report a player to the enforcement team. It does take time for the XBLPET to get to every report as they do get
    thousands a day. Please be patient. In the meantime, use the “player review” option on the players profile to avoid the player.

    You can report the person by using the dashboard reporting tools. Go to their bio and select File Complaint then follow the instructions provided. That report will be sent to the PET (Policy Enforcement Team) for them to investigate and take any necessary
    action on.
