Report team needs to do a better job

So, last night this kid that has contantly annoyed and harassed me tried playing with me and my brother, so I kicked him from our party and game. 2 seconds later he msgs me saying I'm s#!+ at Fortnite. Ok, big deal. I get on today, i get a big ol warning
on my screen saying I've been suspended. Why the hell do I get suspended when this kid is the one starting crap. If you people actually looked into the reports and looked at what he's said or even asked me the things he's said I definitely would not be the
one suspended. People falsly reporting others need to be banned and this "team" needs to start doing their jobs correctly

i think you guys need to do a better job when enforcing cause i was on vacation and haven't been online in a week plus u need to do a better job investigating but thats my opion not being rude but u should not suspend someone's privileges when they haven't
been on in a week and already tried a case review and I think they never investigated all they did is deny my case so i will be probably go back to Sony where they do investigate reports

You wouldnt like my nude pic but we do need another better way to let ms know so they do a half way job. Yea I agree Vaynel they do have a small team which tells me they either dont care and just want out money or xbone broke the bank. We just need a better
way and I would love to send video of cheaters just to have proof. I think if ms is in violation of their own TOS if they dont do anything. I think they add a update to xbox live for 360 for when we report people add a comment about it

It doesn't matter how the situation starts, if you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct, you can be punished. As long as you filed a complaint on him, he would be investigated too.

 

Every report gets investigated by XBLPET before a suspension is issued so there is no chance for you to be suspended for being "falsely reported"

I suggest you to follow the instructions of the previous ambassador to check your suspension

 

There is no way to "falsely" report a person. If someone reports you, the consoles involved will collect data and telemetry and send that in along with the report as evidence.

I get a lot of cases like yours as an Ambassador, and usually, the person that is "unfairly" banned actually did reply back to the harassment with a salted message themselves.

So I assume the following happened:

The kid sent you a message that you are "s#!t at Fortnite!".

And you then reply "No, you're s#!+ at Fortnite!" for example.

The kid then reports your message which gets sent in along with the report. The real life person in the Enforcement team reviews that report, and sees the message you sent the kid, and finds that the message violated the Code of Conduct.

Based on the evidence that got sent in, you will get banned or not.

I also get messages that try to entice a reply from me. As long as I reply with a message that doesn't violate the Code of Conduct, they can report me as much as they like.

In over 10 years of being on Xbox Live, I haven't been banned, but got confirmations from the Enforcement Team that my report helped to make Xbox Live a better place.

So the reporting team is doing a good job already.
