Replay on a freeze frame Game DVR

So everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago. I'm on PC, and when I record the last 30 seconds and look at the video, the image is froze, but the audio is working. It happens to me on Fortnite and Rocket League, but not on GTA 5. I hope you can help
me.

Fable Anniversary is out!

I've already put like 15 hours into it. No freezing for me, but had a few frame rate issues. Also had followers glitch into each other, but it fixed itself. Im having a blast replaying this game though.

 

Game FPS while not using DVR

I tired out the game dvr to record a game of league of legends last night and at first it worked great. Now when im in game and the dvr is NOT on my frames per second drops to 20. when i turn the dvr ON it goes to the usual 300 frames per second. What is
going on here and how would I go at fixing it.

Troubleshoot Game Bar on Windows 10. Sometimes a recording doesn't end correctly. When that happens, you'll need to restart Game bar to fix the problem:

1. Close the game.
2. In the search box on the Windows taskbar, type Task Manager, and then select it.
3. In Task Manager, select More details.
4. In the list of running processes, select the Broadcast bar server (bcastdvr.exe) process (if it's still there), and then select
   End task.
5. Restart your game and try recording again.

Our suggestion here, since this is on a PC it might be best to attempt the troubleshooting involving the
Xbox App:

Here are steps below on how to uninstall and reinstall Xbox app:



1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.



2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.



3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage
*xboxapp*| Remove-AppxPackage



4. Hit Enter.



Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.

Attempt this for us and let us know if this works.

Thank you for your help, but unfortunately, the issue is still there. I'm thinking this may be due to the Game DVR app or another app interfering with Xbox's recording software, but then again this didn't happen to me a few weeks ago. So maybe it's an Xbox
update or Windows update.

Note: I just found out that if I recorded normally, it worked. So the issue is really from the "capture last [seconds] of gameplay" feature.

 

Hey Ezio,

If this issue is persisting with Game DVR, try installing the
Xbox Beta Application. This version of the Xbox app can be less stable than the normal application, but it may offer fixes for the issue that the app is giving.
