Replacing Xbox

Follow the steps
here to transfer the license of your DLC. If you are switching to a similar console as the one you were using the hard drive will fit in the new console. If you are switching from an old fat to the new slim, you will need to purchase a new hard drive
for the slim.

After doing the license transfer you will need to go to your game history and redownload all the DLC to your new console. This is easy if you are using the same hard drive or have previously used a transfer cable to the new console as the downloads will last
about 5 seconds each to transfer the licenses. Otherwise you will have to redownload each item separately.

Four times in three years. I'd have to say you should try to take better care of your console(s). Whilst the console has been known for hardware failures, we can not ignore ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS within our home.



-do not place your console in an enclosed space.

-do not place your console in direct sunlight.

-do not place your console near any other heat source(s).

-if you smoke and/or have pets you should be dusting your console every few days.

-do not place your console on carpet or any other soft surface.

-all of the above apply to the power supply brick as well.



I practice all of the above for my console and to this day have not had a single problem with my console in the three plus years I have owned it.

If the license haven't been transferred at all, go to setting hub on dashboard, then click the account tile, then at the bottom click on license transfer.

be aware that you can only license transfer 1 every four months. Once you transfer, you will have to wait 4 months before being able to transfer any licenses with that specific gamertag again.

Judge Bergan is very wrong in the fact that support can manually transfer licenses. They cannot ever transfer anything manually concerning licenses. Period. The gamertag that downloaded the content is the sole owner of the licenses and have THE ONLY capability
of transferring what they own.

I'm sorry that you are facing such issue. If you haven't already then please call the local authorities/police to see what they can do and possibly retrieve the console and make sure to change your account's password to ensure that the thief can't use your accounts.

Regarding the console itself and locking it down, I don't think you can do such a thing. The only option you have is to contact Xbox support to see if they can do anything like that, but I'm afraid that they can't do anything without the authorities asking such thing. Also, it is recommended that you also check your billing to make sure there's been no purchases. The link below is what to do if your console gets stolen.

However, to answer your question regarding the replacement, unfortunately, It is not within the Microsoft policy to send you an old Xbox as a replacement in such cases.
