    Replacement external power supply for Xbox One S


    I've moved house and lost the power supply for my (old!) Xbox One S. Everywhere I've looked to buy one says only suitable for Xbox One and NOT Xbox One S. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Have been through all the xbox support links and got nowhere. Thanks

    Hi. What model do you have?

    The original Xbox One with external power supply will need a replacement power brick.

    The Xbox One S and X models with internal power supplies are universal and will work anywhere,you just need a cable that fits the correct plug.

    Do you have the original Xbox One with the external power supply, or the Xbox One S or One X with an internal power supply?

    If you have the original Xbox One, it may be that the power supply is the issue and needs to be replaced. You will need to search for one from a game retailer or online.

    If you have the newer models, then unfortunately you will need to get it serviced through Microsoft device support.

    Hi there!

    What model Xbox do you have? The original or the newer One S or One X?

    Unplug the power cable from the console and power supply (if you have original Xbox One with external power supply) and leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes. Plug it directly into the wall and try again. If it still does not work using more than one
    outlet, then the power supply likely went out, external if you have the original or internal if you have the new ones. Only other thing that could be the issue is the cables but it's more than likely the power supply and you would need to get it replaced if
    it's external or get the console repaired if it's internal.

    The One S has an internal power supply that is not meant to be user replaceable.

    As for the wattage, voltage and Amps, it doesn't matter as the power supply is 'multi-voltage'. This basically means the console can be plugged in anywhere around the world and it will 'just work'. The only regional difference will be the power plug the
    console ships with in the box.

    Only the original Xbox One requires an external power supply rated for correct voltage the region the machine will be used in.

    When I've had this issue in the past (twice now) I've replaced the power supply and it's solved the issue. Thankfully I had an Xbox One, with the external power supply.
