Please check date and time settings. Go to your system's settings and ensure that the date and time are set to update automatically.

And then restart gaming services. To do this, open the Command Prompt as an administrator.

Type the following commands one at a time, pressing Enter after each:

net stop GamingServices

net start GamingServices

Next us to reinstall gaming services. Open PowerShell as an administrator.

Run these commands:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

This will uninstall and reinstall Gaming Services.

Then run system file checker. Kindly open Command Prompt as an administrator.

Type the following command and press Enter:

sfc /scannow

This will scan and repair corrupted system files.

Please make sure that your Windows operating system is fully updated. Select Start , go to Settings Update & Security Windows Update > select Check for Windows updates.

I am having the same problem as Jorge. The login never fails, it takes several minutes to complete since the upgrade went out.

Get a flashlight and look in that socket. Is there anything in there which might be shorting out the contacts? If not, then turn off the Xbox and unplug it, then press on the power button on the console several times, and then power up the Xbox. If that
fails, then it's repair time, and you need to visit
support.xbox.com/.../repair-process

Hmm, honestly at this point it's sounding like that console likely is going to need a repair. To build on EggsBoxJuan's suggestion, you could try leaving it unplugged for several hours just to be super, super sure.

Failing that, you can register for a repair at the
Online Service Center.
