Reoccurring payment for a canceled subscription

I purchased a monthly xbox live subscription prior to Aug 2016. Realizing that the yearly subscription costed less i opted for that. I canceled my monthly subscription and on Aug 27 2016 i got a yearly subscription. I got the confirmation for both the monthly
cancel and the year buy. Several months ago I noticed that I still was being charged for the monthly subscription despite dishing out the $60 for the year gold.This charge has been going on even though I canceled the subscription. The total has reached $170
by this point and Microsoft chat people have no idea what to do besides contact my banking institution which I've done twice. Both times they've tried to reach Microsoft,they redirect me back to microsoft saying I had to go through microsoft. so here I am
again on my last straw wondering how I'm going to get my money back.

I cant buy a new Gold account with the money on my Xbox 360!

You don't you never could use currency or ms points or gift cards for reoccurring memberships

If you want one time payment you will have to buy prepaid codes

Subscription plans require a reoccurring payment option like a credit card

Purchasing Gold subscriptions with Microsoft Account Money

If you want pay as you go membership you will have to do what others do

Buy a prepaid subscription card from your local store

It is the same for every console or online service they have prepaid subscription cards

Online reoccurring subscriptions

And currency for only dlc movies and music as subscription requires a reoccurring payment option

Hello, subscription can be cancelled through billing and subscriptions through microsoft.com. Cancel subscription and make sure reoccuring payment is turned off. As far as a refund you might need to call in and speak with a live representative to see if that is possible.

To buy a subscription you must use a reoccuring payment method

Credit is not a reoccurring payment method

Any plans on the dashboard is a subscription

The only option for pay as you go is full priced prepaid cards as subscriptions like your everyday bills are reoccuring

They will deduct monthly subscriptions till you tell them to stop

This is with all subscription services like wow or psn plus

If you read the terms of use it does mention reoccurring payments for subscriptions

Also when you buy dashboard deals it will say this membership will renew

Btw there is no cancelation period for month to month memberships

If you want not have reoccurring payments you will have to turn off autorenewal and stay prepaid only and avoid dashboard deals as it is part of their terms

You do have the option to cancel autorenewal before the renewal

you have to contact your bank and charge back as much money as they can and block further charges.

Best is to get a new cc number to prevent any misuse of your cc and prevent problems in the future if you may decide to start a new sub.

The other account will be closed automatically.
