    Render distance in games on Xbox series x seems low


    I was wondering if I’m just over thinking it or it’s an actual problem with the console. My games load up pretty fast but I have noticed renders distance in games like Minecraft, Fortnite, pirate yakuza and a couple of others. I can see the grass and trees pop in at different levels and turning in Fortnite causes the ground to have to pop in at different levels as well. I was wondering is this just a me thing or if this is common and it has to do with the games themselves. I don’t know how to tell if rendering is an issue or not.

    We appreciate you have brought this to our attention and even I, personally see this as something for improvement. We think that this could be an issue with the game's performance and we found this support article from Activision that could help you with the performance of the game - Improving Lag and In-game Performance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (activision.com).

    They have recommendation and mostly related with settings set by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

    However, if you are experiencing this issue not just with Call of Duty but with few games too, we would appreciate if you will send a report to Team Xbox for this issue to be investigated. Guide: Provide feedback to Team Xbox | Xbox Support

    Hello thankyou for the help.

    I recently factory reset the console.

    Maybe I’m being too much of perfectionist with games as I can be like that.

    But while playing call of duty and other games.

    Objects can pop into the game when I’m close to them for example

    I was playing call of duty and was in a small room and when I walked around it light fixtures were appearing while walking round.

    While outside in grassy areas certain detailing on bushes would appear even when I was close to them.

    Maybe I’m not supposed to notice this and it’s to help the frame rate and load times.

    I think I’m just worrying due to how close I can be to things and can physically see them loading detail in.

    I’ll keep an eye on it and keep you informed apologies if I am wasting anyone time.

    It is with other games I have footage of said issues and will look at reporting these issues. Of the rendering again maybe I’m wrong and I’m just noticing this and it’s just the way the engine perform to help frame rate and it’s only certain things and objects that this happens to and it’s very fast when the details does pop in

    Maybe try to get my console sent to be checked as it’s still under warranty.

    Based on your description, your Xbox Console is slow rendering the games you are playing. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

    Just like computers, hard drive could be slow to render videos and games when you check the task manager shows processes, CPU, or storage is almost at 100%. We need to think about the Xbox's storage for this problem because it shouldn't be full. Another factor is when a device needs to be restarted or shut down, rendering might sometimes be slow.

    We suggest you to do restart/powercycle or shut down of Xbox console. Delete some games or data that is already sync and see if the issue improves. Then determine what specific games you were having issues with.
