Removing xboxlivefamily.com email

Ive seen this question posted numerous times and it seems like the only answer is to get a ticket created and an investigation done to get this fixed. My kid has one of these and I have tried to change it for the past couple years ever since the family plan
was eliminated.

FYI, when you try to change the email address it says 'Your organization's policy prevents you from changing your primary alias'

Please advise to how I can put in a ticket to have this fixed.

I think the problem is that my xbox account was originally a family account and it will not allow me to remove the xboxlivefamily.com email.

you would go to outlook.com and sign in with the email and password and it would bring up the emails for you.

The @xboxlivefamily.com is the Microsoft Account assigned to an account when created through the Family Plan. It is not a real email so if you change the Microsoft Account name it will require an actual email at that time.

@xboxlivefamily.com is only a temporary Microsoft Account. You can create your child an email of their own using the outlook.com email and change it to that but at this time that is the only option.

I'm sorry to hear about any issues you may be having with a Microsoft Account. Whenever you use an email to create a Microsoft Account it becomes the "Username" for the account. If that email is not accessible, I would recommend

change the primary alias on the account. During that process you will go through :

Sign in to the
Microsoft account website. (You may be asked to verify that you're the account owner.)
Select Your info.
Select Manage your sign-in email or phone number.

When you go to alias section in Microsoft account, when you add another email but cannot assign that email as the primary. What error message do you receive? An error may occur if the email that was added is already attached to another Microsoft Account.
