    Removing Xbox


    Hi, I searched for how to remove Xbox on the Windows Get Help app, and I found a post on this website asking how to disable Xbox. I tried what the reply said, but it didn't work; it said something about the command not being recognized or something. (I know
    nothing about codes Removing Xbox :D) I've added a snip of the window to the end of this post.

    The reason why I'm removing Xbox is because I don't use it at all and my computer is slowing down quite a lot so I'm trying to delete some useless apps.

    The simple answer is you can't using you PC unless you installed via your PC. It's much easier to go into your console and go to the app you want to uninstall select: Start/ Manage App/ Uninstall.

    Hi Matty

    Right click your Start Button, choose Powershell (admin)

    Paste this into Powershell and hit Enter

    Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

    Close Powershell and restart your PC

    That's it, Xbox app gone . . .

    Cheers not having much storage. PC has a 32 gig memory card for an hd. I was wanting to free as much as possible. But if it doesnt use much space or resources I'll leave it be

    you should just be able to right click on the app icon and uninstall it that way!
    This doesn't work with the Xbox app, it is integrated with the Windows 10 system, it requires you to use powershell as described in the link previously posted.

    That being said, removing the app is almost pointless, it uses almost no space and zero system resources when not in use. If seeing the tile bugs you, just unpin it from the start menu.
