Removing the sign-in option from a Xbox Account someone else uses. (It's hard to say it)

I was not using someone else's account I just presumed that because I had error 8c020007 that the xbox was linked to another account . I have tried today removing and replacing the hard drive, clearing the cache , reformatting the hard drive, reinstalling
my account, removing and reinstalling updates. Is there anything else I good do

You can change your password to keep someone from signing into your account, but there is no way to remove the account remotely.

Also things like your credit card information would be tied to your account information, not the hard drive. So unless someone else is signing into your account, they won't have that information.

No. There's no way to remove your account remotely. If you gameshare with someone else, you would sign into their console, set it as your Home, then remove your account from the console before you leave.

You can remove your account from your console in the settings but this will not completely delete your account.

It will still remain on Microsofts servers.

If you don't sign in with that account for 5 years then the gamertag will be freed up for someone else to use

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply. I followed the steps but to no avail.

Instead I found out my account had been used to sign in by an app as a work school account which is weird since it's a personal one. I removed it from there and was able to sign into Xbox straight away.
