Removing software

I understand, that makes sense why you would want the app removed from the system and you can always re-download it from the Microsoft Store if you ever need it for gaming on Windows in the future.

The Xbox app is a pre-programed app that can be removed from the Powershell command prompt but it doesn't need to be used if you don't need it and it shouldn't affect any of your other apps.

If you decide you still want to remove the app follow these steps:

[*]Here are steps below on how to uninstall the Xbox app:

1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.

2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp*| Remove-AppxPackage

4. Hit Enter.

just don't select it, you can't remove it as it is embedded into the system software.

It will not remove your data of files, but the games will be removed. :/

What you could do to prevent this is try to do it via windows 10 ISO tool. There's an option there to keep the games also.
