Removing Ex from XBOX/Microsoft Family account

Hoping maybe someone ran into this before and i'm not alone. Can't find any type of MS Live support to figure this out so here I am.

I had the Microsoft Family account setup with my kids. I had added my Ex-Wife(non technical person) as a organizer. Now I'd to get her off the account because really there isn't any reason for her to be on it. However it's coming up saying she needs to give consent(I think somehow she got linked to one of the kids accounts possible). But i'd rather avoid trying to walk her through something or asking her for any sort of favor. Anyway around this? Can I just quit the family and start a new one(will my windows licenses/computers/xbox gamepass carry overy with me? Could I still invite my kids over to the new family?

    :)

Hello dear Gamer, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

    My name is Vinicius.

I am a gamer and independent advisor on the XBOX community platform.

Hey mate, how are you today? Hope you're well.

So, I see. Actually, since her account is set as a family manager, you would need to access her account and remove itself from it. :/ There's no way you, through your account, remove her. :/ I'm so sorry to carry this bad news, mate, but unfortunately, it works that way.

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support.

I am very sorry to know you are having such conveniences. Please do not worry about the situation because I am here to help you out!

In order to remove your ex partner from the Microsoft family, you will need her to consent. She will be receiving an e-mail to confirm that the account will be removed and she will need to accept it.

Please try following the steps on this link Remove yourself or a family member from your family group on Xbox | Xbox Support.

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today despite this Glitchedsky

You could try re-add your ex account but as a member, in that way she/he can't modify or change the family group settings.
If maybe that's not an option for you, the next step will be remove your ex's account from the group

If you maybe have further questions feel free to ask, greetings from another Microsoft user

    Cant join clubs or create

    1. Create another microsoft account and xbox account
    2. Add the account with the problem as a child to the family
    3. Change the setting from the "Adult" account
    4. Then remove the "adult" account from the family

    Worked for me atleast.
