    So I had a friend's card on my account and I think he removed it I'm not sure, and I bought a 3 month plan and redeemed it, but it wont work unless I remove the current payment option, which the website wont let me, it just says theres a glitch with a happy
    avatar next to it >.>

    Can someone please help me? I really want my xbox gold up and running for dark souls 2 tonight

    I loaded a credit card onto my xbox and when i went onto xbox.com it said that it couldnt be removed at this time????? how do i fix this

    Removing a payment option.

    Hi Itachifan15. It looks like you need to add another card to transfer the balance onto. This can be done at commerce.microsoft.com. If you have any issues getting it updated, please start a fresh thread, and we'll be happy to take a look for you!

    I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread, as the OP's issue has been resolved.

    You would need to contact support directly and speak to billing for assistance. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or
    support.xbox.com/contact-us You can't remove a payment option while it's attached to an active gold subscription.

    As long as it's attached to an active gold account, you can't remove a payment method.

    You have to call support and have them turn off auto renewal.

    The thing is that I want remove the payment option completely but it says I can`t do this until I add new payment option and because my debit card is associated with my membership which is still active,but I don`t want to add it because I don`t want to continue
