Remove the ‘click or tap here to continue’ when streaming my gameplay, and streaming that...

This question has been asked before, but there is still no update and the Answers by the 'expert' were not even applicable to the XBox app, stating many options that just aren't available.

Has anyone found a solution to this annoying and seemingly simple to fix 'upgrade' from Microsoft?

Not everyone wants to use Game Bar!

    :)

How do I get rid of the ‘click or tap here to continue’ when streaming my gameplay, and streaming that window to discord from Xbox to PC via Xbox App.

hello again Whatkins, i try to found an answer for your problem and you can try this. To prevent this message from appearing, you can try the following methods:

    1. Use the Xbox Game Bar:

The Xbox Game Bar is a lightweight overlay that can be used to stream Xbox gameplay without having to keep the Xbox app window active. To use the Xbox Game Bar:

Press the Windows key + G on your keyboard to open the Xbox Game Bar.

Click on the "Start streaming" button.

Select your desired streaming destination, such as Twitch or YouTube.

    Start streaming your gameplay.

With the Xbox Game Bar, you can continue using other applications, such as Streamlabs OBS, without the "Click or tap here to continue playing" message appearing.

    2. Use the Xbox app in full-screen mode:

Another option is to run the Xbox app in full-screen mode. This will ensure that it remains the active window and prevents the message from popping up. To use full-screen mode:

Open the Xbox app and click on the "Maximize" button in the top-right corner of the window.

Alternatively, press the F11 key on your keyboard.

    3. Disable the message:

There is a registry modification that can disable the "Click or tap here to continue playing" message. However, this modification can cause other issues with the Xbox app, so it's not recommended unless you're comfortable with registry editing.

    4. Use a different streaming method:

If you're still having trouble, you can try a different streaming method, such as using a capture card or using the built-in streaming capabilities of your Xbox console.

    Additional Tips:

Make sure your Xbox app and Streamlabs OBS are updated to the latest versions.

Ensure your PC meets the minimum system requirements for streaming.

Check your network connection for stability and speed.

Try closing any unnecessary applications that might be consuming resources.

if this resolve your problem let me know

How do I get rid of the ‘click or tap here to continue’ when streaming my gameplay, and streaming that window to discord from Xbox to PC via Xbox App.

Hi Whatkins, my name is Oskayra and I will be happy to help you.

The "click or tap here to continue" message appears in the Xbox app when the app is in the background and not in use. This is because the Xbox app is designed to save power when it is not actively used.

To get rid of this message when you stream your game to Discord, you can follow these steps:

1.Open the Xbox app on your Xbox console.

2.Go to "Profile & System" > "Settings" > "Power Saving".

    3. In the “Background power saving” section, uncheck the “Disable background app” option.

Once you've disabled this option, the Xbox app will remain active in the background, even when you have Streamlabs OBS open. This will prevent the "click or tap here to continue" message from appearing.

    Other solution:

If you don't want to turn off background power saving for the Xbox app, you can try changing the streaming resolution. To do this, follow these steps:

1.Open the Xbox app on your Xbox console.
Go to "Profile & system" > "Settings" > "Xbox app".
In the "Streaming" section, uncheck the "Stream in the best possible resolution" option.

Turning this option off will cause the Xbox app to stream your gameplay at a lower resolution. This can help reduce CPU load and prevent the Xbox app from crashing.

I hope my answer has been useful to you, if you still have the error do not hesitate to contact me, I will do everything in my power to try to help you.

    Best regards Oskaira

How do I get rid of the ‘click or tap here to continue’ when streaming my gameplay, and streaming that window to discord from Xbox to PC via Xbox App.

    Hi Oskaira,
Neither of these options are available for be, because when I go into settings, there is only a 'power options' section, not a 'power savings' as prompted. However, if I do go into 'power options' on my Xbox console, the only settings regarding the Xbox app within are 3 preferences including: 'Allow connections from any device', 'only profiles signed in on this Xbox console', and 'don't allow the Xbox app to connect', with a separate tick box 'Allow play to streaming'.
I also tried to change this through Windows settings, with no avail. I did this by

Start > Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Xbox > Advanced Options > Check Battery Usage

Then it goes in an infinite loop, bringing me back to the page when I try to select Xbox app battery and background settings. I have also tried to fix this problem using the settings within the app, however, no success. I have tried everything I can think of.

    Thanks,
    Jay

I am so confused by all of your solutions in your feed. In the first response to him, none of those settings actually exists.

And then in your second post, there is no "Start Streaming" button when you press Win+G.

No full screen options fix this message from disappearing either.

I see no options to disable this message either.

A capture card isn't useful for PC set ups that are away from the home xbox, like a personal office.

Are any of this solutions tested by you guys? So far nothing I have read from your tech team seems to exist or work. This message appear is beyond infuriating and is seemingly a useless feature.

But it use to work that way. This was something they actively added. It also is just a message that appears and darkens the screen. Asking that to not exist is not that crazy, especially when it use to be a standard feature of the program.
