Remove "Skip Sign In" button

We share our Xbox Series S as a family and I have set up my profile along with my 2 children. Both of them are in my Family Group with parental settings.

When I turn on the Xbox, there is a "Skip Sign In" button. I have been told that the option appears so that we can play offline. However, it makes no sense that my kids can click on that and play whatever they want without signing it or without any parental controls.

I found out that the only way to get rid of "Skip Sign In" is to remove that Xbox as my "Home Xbox". However, does this mean that my children will no longer be able to play the games I downloaded? How else do I set it up so that we can all play the games we are allowed to play (through parental controls) without bypassing all that set up by having a "Skip Sign In" button conveniently located next to my child's profile button?

I don't understand the point of parental controls if they can skip it all just to play whatever they want by not signing in.

Love your persistence to help. Really appreciate this but I have tried this. It doesn't affect the skip sign in on the Xbox S. I have the key on and set to Restricted but it doesn't change it.

I too had the same question, and the same struggle trying to get support.

I have found how to remove this ability to skip the restrictions.

Go into your settings and under "System" there is a option for signed out content restrictions.

In here, as long as you are signed in with the main parental account on the xbox, you can set what is allowed to be used if some is not signed in with a profile.

If they want to use something that is restricted a passkey, which the main parental account can create, has to be input.

I set mine to be fully restricted, for my situation my child was using all allowed screen time for games and then signing out to watch tv

YOU ARE AMAZING ! I HAVE AN XBOX SERIES S , AND MY SON HAS BEEN UP REALLY EARLY AND PLAYING ANY GAME HE WANTS , I HAVE TWO ACCOUNTS WITH PASSKEYS .....HE FOUND THE SKIP SIGN IN ..... I FOLLOWED YOUR INSTRUCTIONS...YOU CAN STILL ACCESS SKIP SIGN IN ACCOUNT BUT NOW THAT ITS LOCKED DOWN IF HE TRYS TO ACCESS ANY OF THE GAMES THEY NEED A PASSKEY !! Unfortunately what you are saying does not work on the Xbox S series. I only get an option to add or remove the guest key. This has no effect on the "skip sign in".
