Remove my name and my sons name to xbox

Since the account is yours, the name showing will be yours as well.

You can turn off the option to share real name by following the steps below;

- Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Online safety & family.

- Select Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > View details & customize.

- Select Profile, and then scroll right to Real name.

- Select the setting you want from the dropdown menu.

you would need to change your Microsoft account name to his, you should have created a separate Microsoft account for your child so then he has his own Xbox account and you can then use parental controls too. in the future he may want to take his account with him and he cant as you are the owner.

the Xbox account IS the Microsoft account IS the email account etc.

My step son is having same problem. It has his gamer tag and then my name after it does anyone know how to remove it?

Hi Marcus---- You could try BING and XBOX rewards to earn FREE stuff...... Otherwise, your name is not personal information and it will be the Same as downtown, 10$. This holiday season you know what to ask for...... GOOD LUCK!!!

I understand that you have a query about your gamertag. If your gamertag is showing a suffix of numbers after the symbol #, it means your gamertag is already taken or associated with an Xbox account. The system automatically assigned you the suffix of numbers to keep your gamertag unique and it’s there to tell you apart from players who have the same gamertag. Unfortunately, we do not have the option to remove them.
