how to only play game from one location?

You have to log into your account online and remove your son's account from your son's friend's console. You can do this by going to xbox.com my account security family and forums xbox 360 profile protection require profile download

Parental consent removal from Microsoft family account

Sorry for the late reply, you should be able to contact Official Support at support.xbox.com/contact-us to talk to someone live.

Though if you remove a child account from a family, it is still subject to restrictions as Microsoft has legal obligations in different territories to protect children and their information.

No way to stop purchase of points, while still allowing multiplayer play

If you don't see the Stop Purchasing options it means the account was created as an adult, there is no way to derank it to a child account, however there are other options to protect yourself:

    1. Prepaid Credit Cards: Cards you can get at a local store, they allow you to add them on file as primary on billing.microsoft.com (will run a $1 pending transaction) and remove your actual Card.

    2. Call to Remove: You can call Xbox Support and have them remove the CC

    3. Family Pack: If his account is a secondary on a family pack he can't run monitary transactions

    Xbox

IF you are an adult, and your Microsoft Account has you listed as a child, you can

ensure that your birthday is set correctly.
If it is, and you are an adult in your region, but still recognizes your account as a child, there are processes from that link to do an age verification.

If your still a teen or child, and your parents enabled family account protections, then there is no way to remove that protection without their permission and action.
