remove edge from xbox X

Hello my son is 22 and has special needs, he loves on line gaming but is not safe to use the internet, I need to turn off edge or hide it but leave online alone, rang for support at Microsoft lady just said why would you want to do that!!!!!

it seems that the X console is different to the S and the One, please help ,thanks in advance, also tried to filter with outlook account and changes have not transferred to console !

easy fixed brother I just solved. Remove ur acc from xbox and re add and sign in upon re signing in open microsoft edge the app will start syncing and refresh back o new mate

Depending on how you have his account setup you might be able to use the web filtering feature on the console and limit the console to access websites of your choice.

First off the family settings is a terrible feature due to the complexity of something that could be simple. What if you kid doesn't have an email? or a microsoft account? Seems like a waste of time to create the add in.

My main complaint is that the initial web filtering features like safe search no longer works when applied through the settings once the march 2018 update was put in place. Since they have not put another update in the works its causing major issues.

You won't be able to remove it. Not from any of the XB1 consoles.

As others have said, your only options are family settings or web filtering.

Depending on your router, you may be able to do some web filtering on there as well, or even block the internet from it.

Hi, are you part of the insider preview? Just removed my X because of edge constantly crashing.

There are 3 sites that use Html5 and run on the PC version of Edge that don't or have difficulty on the Xbox Series X Edge. I just want the websites to play the video properly. Even if you say consoles aren't the PC version, it is the mainstream Edge browser, the Developer Teams are the ones that remove or add functionality, this is why I posted this request and concern. This console is more than capable of running the browser like the PC version. I just want the video to run on it properly.
