    Remove “Add On doesn’t need to be installed”?


    I just bought the Lightfall DLC for Destiny 2. I have already followed the installation steps due to the known glitch but the DLC still will not launch.

    I have tried clearing the local save, hard resetting, deleting my account from xbox, deleting whole game, only installing certain parts etc.

    I see at the bottom of my manage add ons it has “More Add Ons” but these are listed as “Add Ons / Doesn’t need to be installed” and I cannot do anything with them. I suspect this is the issue. Do i just need to return the DLC or can it be saved? I am not sure what to do at this point.

    Have you tried to access the content in-game? If the console is showing they don't need to be installed, then they don't need to be installed to be accessed. If you still have doubts, try reinstalling the game.

    No, they’re literal DLC packs that should be able to be installed from the manage games menu on my console

    Usually add-ons don't need to be installed and can be accessed in-game. You cannot access any of the content in-game?

    I understand, my friend, but if the console shows you that an add-on does not need to be installed, it does not need to be installed to be accessed. If this is a bug or glitch - meaning the add-ons need to be installed but the console states that they don't - all you can do is report it to the game developers' and to the Xbox team:

    You just asked me the same question twice. No I can’t access them from the game because my console won’t let me install them, and I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times
