    If I remove my account from the console and re-add it as recommended, will I lose my data. My GOLD Live is not working and I am being told to remove the account.

    Xbox is telling me to get Gold even though I have it?

    Another way to attempt to fix this, is to remove the account from the xbox in settings->accounts-> remove accounts. After that is removed login with that gametag again to force the console to fetch your live subscription data. In rare cases your Xbox account and live account will lose sync.

    Doing that will not help your issue. I have tried that and nothing happened. I am also trying to find a solution for the same issue.

    You can check to see when your Gold expires at account.microsoft.com/services and if it's active do a full power cycle on the Xbox and then try to delete and redownload the profile.

    Around this time we had a service alert if your gold is still not activating please

    Contact us     so we can check out your account and see if we need to troubleshoot your gold.

    You can check to see when your Gold expires at account.microsoft.com/services and if it's active do a full power cycle on the Xbox and then try to delete and redownload the profile.

    Im not saying delete the parent account from the family, i mean remove the parent account from the console. It's his home xbox and his live Gold, the parent account is just on the console for accountability.
