    So me and my friend were joking around and I reported one of his messages. It was sent as a joke but he still got a ban. I was wondering if i am able to remove that ban?

    No you cannot, They need to go through
    enforcement website     and appeal. They take all reports seriously so don't report things as a joke. I don't think the enforcement team view the forums either.

    The only people that can remove a suspension are the enforcement team.

    The only way to contact them is through their website and their case review process. The website is enforcement.xbox.com

    Your friend would need to sign into their website and if his case is eligible (normally has to be over around 24 hours to be eligible) then he can apply for a case review.

    This will allow him to appeal his case the enforcement team will then investigate the report and determine if they can lift the suspension.

    The enforcement team does not monitor these forums, and no one in these forums can help you with a suspension.

    Communication ban hasn't been lifted yet and it's been 24 hours

    If the ban has lifted and you are still unable to communicate, try removing your account from the console and then redownloading it.
