Remote turn off burnt smell

Same, thing happens to me turns off and smells burnt i dont know what caused this. ⅝

My son just replaced the AA batteries....remote kept cutting off..then stop working....its burnt smell.....is it fried????

Please take out the batteries immediately. I would let it cool down and try different batteries. If the same issue arises it might be fried.

I would recommend contacting Microsoft or wherever you purchased the controller from as this could be a faulty one and at present for safety purposes avoid using that controller

it's a xbox one fat, I smelled burnt inside the ac adapter but so far I can't smell anything on the main console
