Remote play steps not working in xbox app on pc

I'm trying to use remote play on pc and its not working. I press the console icon in the app, then connect to my Xbox, then I login to my account, then I press enable and it checks my connection. the app is telling me to press enable on my console which I have already done. so the app seems to be getting stuck on that step. I've tried waiting 15 minutes to see if it was lagging but no luck.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

We need to validate all of your console settings, please follow the steps below:

"Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features.

Select the Enable remote features checkbox.

Under Power options, select Sleep."

Kindly untick/uncheck the "Enable remote features". Also, if it's already set to "sleep" mode, please set it to "Shutdown (energy saving)" After that perform a powercycle on your console by following the steps below:

"POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. "

After that, set it again to "sleep" mode. And then check the "enable remote features" again and then test it all out.

Two different things one companion app is a front end to your xbox for remote play

Xbox app is storefront for pc and remote play and cloud play

Hello jcleigh, just to make clear what this is about, are you trying to stream from Xbox to PC on the same network, are you trying to remotely play xbox through your mobile phone or are you trying to play Xcloud?

The OP is trying to use Remote Play between their PC and their Series X using the PC Xbox App:

"PC to XSX Remote Play"

They have tried to use remote play with their Android Device and it worked fine

I am confused, is there another way to use wifi remote play than the xbox app?

I use the xbox app on every device for remote play. (Xbox to tablet/PC)
