Remote Play Resets EVERY 6 MINUTES exactly…

Here’s my issue which I can’t seem to find anything about anywhere online.

I’m at home. I’m playing a game on my Xbox series X. My wife wants to watch TV, so I open my Xbox app on my iPad Pro and start the remote play. Right away it connects and I’m playing my game on my tablet.

I get into playing then realize it disconnects and instantly reconnects… then again… and again… and again. This has happened a few different times, during different gaming sessions, playing different games.

One thing I’ve noticed is that it’s not random lengths of time. It disconnects and instantly reconnects EVERY 6 MINUTES… like exactly 6 minutes.

Tonight I let it go and kept track. It disconnected and reconnected (reset, restarted, or however you want to word it) every 6 minutes for shortly over an hour before I turned everything off.

In the past I’ve tried restarting my devices (tablet, console, Wi-Fi), physically turning off my devices then turning them back on, resetting remote play settings, resetting my Xbox settings, rebooting my Xbox… I’ve tried a lot of different things. Nothing seems to work.

Even if I think it works, it’s only for a day, a week, sometimes even months. However, if the remote play restarts more than once, it’s just going to keep doing it, and it does it every 6 minutes.

I’ve had my Xbox Series X since shortly after release. I remote play on my tablet and phone all the time while camping, visiting my brother, if my wife wants the TV, or just to have the TV playing something in the background.

I’ve noticed this 6 minute reset thing about 4 or five different times now.

I’m usually the person everybody goes to for this kind of thing, but I can’t figure it out, so that’s why I’m here. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I know my stuff when it comes to technology, but I’m only human and I could have completely missed something extremely simple. So again, ANY AND ALL HELP will be appreciated.
