Remote Play Not Working Since App Update

I dont believe there is anything wrong on the console side

After resetting the Xbox app under windows the first time it connects to the console it works fine (can remote play games)

When the app is closed and launched a second time is when it hangs

Only started happening since latest update of the app

Update: Actually, I must have had my TV on when I tested before. I can confirm that even the new Xbox App update is doing the same thing. So frustrating.

Original Post: This problem is now moot since the new Xbox App update that allows Remote Play works fine for me and the Xbox Console Companion feature is now deprecated.

It's not just a lack of support for the Xbox One Media Remote. I have a Logitech Harmony Remote that works with the Xbox One and it also doesn't work with the YouTube App. The only device that seems to work with the YouTube app is the controller. It's a
shame since the Xbox One Media Remote works really well in other apps like Twitch,Crackle and Machinama.

I wish it was the android app because remote play works flawlessly for me under the same conditions(network,location etc.) o my android phone but goes to black screen in the Windows10 app. Most frustrating thing is that it used to work fine then one day a few months ago it broke and has been that way ever since despite multiple updates to the Windows10 Xbox app.

This has just happened to me. I have an Xbox One and it's been working fine since I started playing remotely in January. It was fine yesterday. I went to play this afternoon and the button was missing from the app. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing worked so I decided to uninstall the app and start afresh. The app stops downloading at 130kb!

I'm hoping it's just a temporary problem that Microsoft are working on because it's really frustrating. I can play on the big TV but I prefer to remotely play on my PC.
