Remote Play Not Working in New Games

If we may ask, how many users are trying to remote play with your Xbox Console? Because there can only be one user who can remote play your Xbox Console at a time. Try removing other accounts to make sure that no other user can remote play your device. To do so, follow the steps below:





Additionally, we are going to perform troubleshooting steps with your Xbox app for mobile in your Android device. Follow the steps below:

• Close the app from the recent applications menu.
  
• Restart your phone.
  
• Clear the app cache. Go to Settings > Apps, select the app, then select Storage > Clear cache.
  
• Clear the app storage, then try again. Go to Settings > Apps, select the app, then select Storage > Clear storage.
  
• Uninstall and reinstall. Press on the app icon until you get the option to Uninstall. Then reinstall the app from the Play Store.
  

Note: If the Xbox mobile app is crashing when you select a game to play, check that you have not set a custom DPI on your device. Using a custom DPI is not currently supported.

It appears that you are having issue with remote play using your phone device. Let us check what is causing the issue and perform some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue in a timely manner.

We would like to ask few questions to help us isolate the issue further.

1. Are you using Android or iOS device?

2. Have you tried uninstalling the Xbox app for mobile and installed again and restart remote play?

3. Are you getting specific error code or error message when connecting your console for remote play?

For the meantime, we are going to make sure that both your console and Xbox mobile app is properly configured for remote play. For your reference, see: How to set up remote play.

Additionally, follow the suggested steps below if still encountered the same problem:

• Check the Xbox status, which can be done in the Xbox app. On mobile, go to the Profile tab and select the Settings icon, then select Support & feedback > Xbox status. Or, on a browser, go to:

• Close the Xbox app on your device and then reopen it.
  
• If your Xbox console requires an update when you try to play remotely, you may see an error. Turn on the Xbox console you're trying to connect to and check for available updates, then try again.
  
• Make sure you’ve enabled remote play on your console. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, then go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features. Make sure you’ve selected the Enable remote features checkbox. Also make sure your console is set to Sleep mode.
  
• Restart your console by holding down the Xbox button on your controller and selecting Restart console > Restart.
  
• Restart the device you're using for remote play.

I'm using an android. Samsung s23+. My old phone was a Samsung s10+ and that one works great for remote play still. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling console is still set to sleep mode. No error codes. I noticed when I setup the Xbox in the Xbox app on my phone it test my settings and says I'm good to go but I click remote play on this device and it just spins forever and ever.

This worked perfectly. Been playing 4 games no issue then tried new game just released on game pass. Held button on tv remote and all fixed. Thanks
