Remote play not working but cloud gaming does on "slow internet"

No you are misunderstanding what remote play is

There is 2 services

Cloud which requires an xbox gamepass ultimate collection and no installation regardless of platform even.xbox one

2nd remote play like ps just lower requirement but you need to install the game pc mobile etc

So if your speedtest is telling you the remote play is too slow you need to adjust your router and open the correct potts

I've tried remote play on the PS3/PSP and I can honestly say, it didn't work, at least not all the time anyway. The only time it really felt useable was when I was in my own home, the PS3 was downstairs, and I was upstairs using the remote play feature
over Wi-Fi. Over the internet it just felt slow and laggy and most of the time it just didn't work for one reason or another.

Now I realise that times change and the PS3 wasn't really designed with remote play in mind, it was added as an after thought, but even so, it all depends on the internet your using, if you have great internet at home, great. If however your internet at
home isn't that good, may be a feature that never gets used.

It is possible that the type of controller does not fully support some of the functions of the button during remote play and cloud gaming. When playing Xbox games with cloud gaming and remote play, we recommend using an Xbox Wireless Controller connected via Bluetooth or USB cable. Many other types of wired and Bluetooth controllers can also work for cloud gaming. Controllers that are identified as Official Xbox and Designed for Xbox are optimized for the best cloud gaming experienceand remote play. Verified controllers will work for remote play and cloud gaming but may be less optimal.

From which country are you currently located?

Are you trying to play Xbox Cloud gaming or Remote play? If cloud gaming, were you able to play or access your games through an internet browser (Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome)?

Please note that for cloud gaming, it depends on the game if it supports it. You are also required to be subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

If it is an internet problem though surely I shouldn't be able to remote play on my phone? However remote play works perfectly fine on my phone, just doesn't work at all on my laptop! Could it be an issue that the tv I am playing on only supports 720p or does that not make a difference?
