    Remote play from Xbox Series X to Android device


    I am not in the insider program but I would like to ask you about Remote streaming from console to Android Xbox app. Unfortunately, streaming to the official Xbox Android app from Xbox console is just 720p and rather with low bandwidth.
    As insiders, could you please tell me if there is any change / testing phase to remote play/streaming from the console to android device via Xbox app where resolution was or can be set to 1080p ?

    I know there are third party apps which can do that (like e.g. XBXPlay) and it is beyond my understanding why the official Xbox app is set statically to 720p without any option to change the resolution of the stream....

    Then remote.play wont work

    Remote play ala xcloud is only available on gamepass ultimate

    Game.streaming.via.the xbox companion app requires a xbox

    Keep in mind you can't.use.the.xbox while you are.using.the wireless gamestreaming
    Huh? Remote Play is nothing to do with Xcloud or Game Pass. And if it won't work, then how can they get it working on their Android device? And they have an Xbox so that's not the issue.

    They are trying to Remote Play their Series X games from their Series X console to their PC via the Remote Play feature and using the Xbox App. This should work without an issue, as it does with their Android device. There is nothing on the Remote Play page to suggest Game Pass is needed

    Hello jcleigh, just to make clear what this is about, are you trying to stream from Xbox to PC on the same network, are you trying to remotely play xbox through your mobile phone or are you trying to play Xcloud?
    The OP is trying to use Remote Play between their PC and their Series X using the PC Xbox App:

    They have tried to use remote play with their Android Device and it worked fine

    Remote Play on Windows 10

    • Known issue: Console streaming to a Windows 10 device from an Xbox Series X|S will not work through the Xbox Console Companion app.
    • Workaround: This feature is only supported through an Xbox One generation device. You can currently stream from an Xbox Series X|S console to an Android or iOS device via the Xbox app. Keep an eye on news.xbox.com for any updates on further support for additional platforms like Windows 10 devices.

    Also, you don't have a way to change the setting of the Xbox Adaptive Controller on the cloud gaming with Android devices or Apple devices on the remote play or on the Xbox app.
