Remote play always asking to select enable on console

i have set up my console numerous of times but evertime i go to remote play wether it be on my iphone, tablet, surface pro, gaming desktop, It always has the Next select enable on the console's screen. I go do that and i am able to play just fine but why am i having to do this every single time. i could be away and not have access to do this. I will note i can remote turn on my xbox from any device but remote play is a no go, unless i enable everytime.

Remote play always asking to select enable on console

Your answer did not at all answer my question. I know what remote play is and I have Xbox cloud as well. Xbox cloud doesn’t offer every game right now. I have set this up numerous of times. The problem is when I leave remote play after selecting enable remote play basically it’s making me enable it each time. This did not use to happen on the Xbox one so I was just confused.

Next time please read the description, it even notates this has been set up. Set up is not the issue I can play with remote I just have to hit enable everytime. So that doesn’t help if I’m not near the Xbox.

Remote play always asking to select enable on console

    Hello there!

My name is Jonny and I will be assisting you today!

First, thank you so much for contacting us regarding your inquiry/ concern.

Remote play is essentially a second screen to your console that allows you to play away from the big TVs and big setups. It's a mobile option that allows us to enjoy gaming away from the bulky setups most home consoles carry.

However, do keep in mind that it is remote play. It is not cloud gaming so it must be set up to use.

Please make sure your Xbox power settings are set to instant on mode and everything is set up accordingly and enjoy.

If you'd prefer gaming away from the hassle of setting this up, please look into Xcloud gaming :)

    remote play problem

    Hi ghrfg,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues using the Remote Play feature of your Xbox.

In order to enable remote play, you need to enable remote features from the settings of your console.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features.

Select the Enable remote features checkbox.

In Xbox App Preferences, you need to select "Allow connections from any device" if you want to remove any authentication.

If these settings are already configured properly, here are the steps on how you could proceed with the remote play.

    On a mobile device:

    Open the Xbox mobile app.

Select the My Library icon and select Consoles.

Select the console you want to connect to and then press Remote play on this device.

    On a Windows device:

Open the Xbox app for PC.

Click on your profile picture and select View profile.

Under Where I play, select the Add a console option and follow the steps shown.

    Regards,
