Remote gameplay not working

i have been trying to play my xbox using the app from my laptop but when i use remote play my screen goes black and i only recieve audio from the console. On my phone it works fine.

Are you using the console companion app, right?

Please try this:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (check also for optional updates);

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

Then do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Then do the same for the Xbox Console Companion (CC) app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox CC app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Hi Fredrik,

Doubt the remote will work with the Xbox as they have a remote for the console itself. Unable to locate any information with what other remotes will work.
