Remote control on Xbox app almost completely unresponsive

    Remote control on Xbox app almost completely unresponsive


    Not sure what happened or if it's something exclusive to the Series X or if it's happening on the X1 also. The old version of the remote before the app was revamped worked fine when I used it with the X1.

    When using the remote control on the Xbox app with my Series X, it barely works. Swiping in any direction almost never works, and pressing the ABXY buttons is hit and miss as well.

    I'm on beta ring on my Series X, and on the non-beta version of the Android app.

    I have the same problem... The download now button is grayed out and the cancel button is grayed out as well. The remote is completely unresponsive with the exception of the B button which signs you out of Xbox Live.

    same issue for me. was using Xbox One controller on laptop fine for months, via bluetooth. Needed to use it as second controller on by Xbox series X which prompted to update the controller firmware. Now trying to use the controller on my laptop again it is unresponsive. It is paired and connects fine in the bluetooth device list and shows in device manager with no issues, but the controller doesn't do anything and is no detected by the accessories app or any applications like the xbox app for remote play or xcloud. Looks like the controller firmware upgrade has killed is as far as my laptop is concerned

    Having the same problem. Both the original Microsoft Xbox Media Remote and the new PDP remote. The xbox buttons will turn the console on, but are otherwise unresponsive.

    Yes, I agree. This is similar like remote play (app is the same). In the old xbox companion app for remote play you can use 4 controllers to remote play but unfortunally we canot use old xbox companion app with xbox series.
