Destiny reminds me of...

Doom. That's a great thing. It must be the giant enemies and bosses, and the streaming fireballs and purple lasers they hurl. That and the badass graphics and soundtrack. Yes, it could have been WAY better with a story, but they've laid some groundwork here. Destiny 2 could be amazing. PS - I never followed the Destiny hype at all, didn't even really track it pre-release. So I just bought it recently only expecting solid gunplay and I've been impressed, I like it. Maybe that's why I like it - my expectations weren't too high? But anyway, yeah, Doom.
