    Remember when you used to be able to walk into a store and buy what you wanted?


    I’ve looked all over town and all over the internet for an Xbox Series X for my boy with absolutely no luck! Walmart advertised on their website they would be available March 25th at 12:00pm, so I head to the store to see what’s what only to find a sign in the spot where the consoles should be that says they are no longer selling the consoles in-store and you must buy it online. Ok, I can do that!! I go to the Walmart website only to be disappointed further as I see they are only offering the consoles through All Access... I’m sorry, but I’m not interested in applying for a line of credit for something I can pay for outright and to be on the hook for 2 years for something I’m not even sure my son will be interested in for that long. This whole thing is a nightmare! When/where can I buy this console? Anybody know??

    Is there a code that you enter for the discount when you go to purchase the item, or is this a credit on your account?

    you may want o go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/28808/microsoft-store-contact-support and look to see if there is a contact number for your country and see if somebody can walk you through being able to use that discount.

    If i remember correctly, ME2 is back compat, so if you go into the Microsoft store on Xbox one, you should be able to buy it there. If not, then it is no longer listed.

    The problem is this MS has no control over what is put in the games.

    The M ratings for games is only for the single player part of games the online part is not rated. The ratings on video games is only their saying that you have to be an adult in order to purchase these games. For instance if you were under 18 (in the US)
    and walked into a video game store and tried to buy an M rated game by law the video game store would not be able to sale that game to you.

    If a parent decides to buy a M rated game for their kid and allow them to play it that is the parents choice.

    What MS does have control over is their live service.

    When you signed up for the service you agreed abide by certain rules (Xbox code of conduct) which you can read here

    that is possible. if you are buying from the Microsoft Store, there is a link that says Purchase as a gift. That will walk you through how to do that.
    Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't see anything like that (i.e., the purchase as a gift link). I've now purchased two gift cards and both of them say that the money will be added to my account. Ack! That's not what I want.

    What platform are you buying the card from?
