    Why can I not release the disk, other than the little flimsy button? Can Microsoft /XBOX make an update or something in the dashboard program , to have an alternative for this. I had the option on the XBOX 360. Why can't this superior console do it?

    TV is not showing anything

    Try this,

    remove any disks in the disk tray,

    turn off your console.

    Now turn it on using your controller,

    as the console starts using your controller press and hold Y while holding the right trigger.

    This resets the display settings to default settings. Hope this helps =)

    Hey Cyber idk if this will fix your issue follow my steps

    1:turn you console on (dosent matter if ur online or not)

    2:Open you disk tray and keep it open

    3:unplug you power cable from the xbox while the disk tray is still open

    4: while your xbox is off push you disk tray in half way

    5:plug your 360 back in and turn if on by pressing the power button not the controller

    6:it should not open and close uncontrollably :) dont worry ive tried it on mine and it works GL

    the xbox turned on by itself and opened the tray while it was off ,,,

    If it is one of the newer consoles - you should clean the disk-tray button as greasy fingerprints can open/close the disk-tray randomly (happened to me as well).
