    Reinstalling Fifa 15 digitally on new console after physical disc is lost


    Hi,

    I recently bought my xbox one with Fifa 15 (disc). I then had a burglary and the console and game was stolen.

    Since then I've bought a new console and was wondering if I could download and install Fifa and continue playing without inserting the disc that was stolen. If not, would I then have to actually buy the game again?

    Ive heard of the fifa 15 digital copy issues people are experiencing. But I have the physical copy and it still tells me to insert the disc, why? I uninstalled it, but now Im reinstalling it, without even having to insert the disc again. So does this mean
    Ill be able to play it without the disc now? Any other DVD works fine but its just fifa 15. Any help please? oh.. and Ive had this issue for a week now

    If you preordered a physical disc from microsoftstore.com then you should receive the 15,000 credits about 10-15 business days after the game shipped. If you preordered digitally, it would not have qualified for that offer.

    An important note that I do not see in your post (OP), that promo was for the physical disc of the game so if you purchased the digital version it would not be eligible. If you did get the physical disc from microsoftstore.com then as Smwutches said it will
    take 15 days after launch to receive the reward.

    There are two ways a system knows you own the game.

    1. Digitally - if you purchase the game digitally it will be linked to the account that purchased the game and that account will always be able to play it on whatever console it is on and will be able to share the game with any profile that is on that profiles
    Home console.

    2. Physical Disc - The license for the game goes with the disc itself and the disc must be in the console in order to play the game.

    So if you have lost the disc for the game then you would either need to purchase another physical copy of the game or purchase it digitally in order to play it.

    For the Ghost Recon offer, the credits should show as pending about 15 days after the game shipped as long as you purchased a physical disc from microsoftstore.com. Digital orders were not eligible for that offer.
