    Regular Xbox Live disconnection issue


    The past couple of days, I have been experiencing an issue on Alpha Skip Ahead, where all connection to xbox live seems to shut off for about 5-10 seconds which completely removes me from whatever party and multiplayer game I happen to be in. I have been setting traffic monitoring on a couple of my other devices on the network, both ethernet and wifi and nothing else seems to drop out, just xbox live.

    Hi Dspaceman , I know the reason your problem is happening, It happens to me soemtimes too. The router will drop for 3 seconds and all Wi-Fi processess will stop it happens sometimes to me while I play on my xbox. The only way to fix it is turn off some
    Wi-Fi applications like another xbox.

    Thanks guys for all your help. Sorry I have not replied earlier. My connection has been stable for about a week now. Still unsure what the problem was though. My modem is up-to-date with the latest firmware. I had also previously tried clearing my system
    cache and re-downloading my profile to no avail. Could've been a problem with my ISP.

    Hey there Dspaceman,

    Thanks for taking the time to post here. Based of the test you did, you're able to connect fine - which leads me to believe that the disconnects you're experiencing are coming from another source. Do you know by chance if you continue to disconnect if you bypass
    the router and plug directly into the modem? If you haven't tried this go ahead and give it a quick try. It's not a permanent solution if it works, but it would help us identify the issue better.
