region code seems not to work

Discus and support region code seems not to work in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; we changed our xbox from abroad to europa, but it still constantly tells us that we are not in region 2 when we want to watch a movie. also the time...     we changed our xbox from abroad to europa, but it still constantly tells us that we are not in region 2 when we want to watch a movie.

    also the time on the xbox is not from switzerland. but on the settings in the xbox, we are set for switzerland it seems. no idea what our problem is.

    Errors trying to redeem code for Call of Duty Ghosts for Xbox One (region related?)

    Hi,

    I'm trying to redeem a code for COD Ghosts, it's not working, and it seems to be region related (I'm located in Netherlands). When I set my region to Netherlands on xbox.com, I can enter the code, but then the next screen shows an error XBOS-4000. When I
    change my region to US on xbox.com, I can enter the code, it will recognize it's a code for COD Ghosts, but when I confirm I get an error XBOS-1005. This seems to be pretty consistent. I bought the code on a dutch website, so I assume the code is linked to
    NL region. It's not clear to me how the region related stuff actually works. The region that you can set on xbox.com seems to be something different from the region that needs to be set correctly for the code to work, although they seem to be related, because
    the errorcodes are different when changing this region.

    I already contacted the website where I bought the code, and they say the problem is region related (either my account is registered in US or the Xbox is registered in US -> I already changed the language/location on the Xbox One to NL).

    Can anybody shed some light on how this actually works, and how I can fix this?

    Thanks for replying. Although the game is available in your region the code does not seem to work for you. I would recommend contacting phone support to make sure the code is available to work in your region Toll Free: 0800 281 360 (from a landline)

    Xbox live gold region locked

    Is there a way to know the region of the code? It just seems weird that if both accounts are set to the United States, the code isn't working.

    Guess I should take this to Amazon?

    What region are you in, Xbox LIVE gold memberships are region coded. It seems that website is for a different region.

    Points cards are region locked so a US card will not work on a Canadian account. Gold cards have not been region locked, but they seem to be locking them now so they may or may not work.

    Unfortunately there is no way to change the region of an account. You would have to create a new account in order to use US codes.
