Region Block for Code Activation?

Hello there,

I just purchased a game code for Xbox (Halo Reach for Xbox 360 to be exact) and i am having issues activating the code in the Xbox store. When i enter the code i get an error message saying, that i cannot activate the selected article in the currently selected
language.

First thing i did was i changed the language settings from german (germany) to german (austria) - i live in austria - but to no success. I even added my Paypal with my austrian address as a payment method to validate everything. - still the very same error
message. It also gives some random error code:

H6/w+joZ4iXQ+ZvID+zTc2.8

I really don't know what else i can do, i am near to complete frustration. I spent 20€ on this game and now i am stopped by a region block? In 2018?? Come on...

German player, Gears Collection Codes - Please find a solution for me.

Ip blocking is at the software level dude

They may get the codes by faking their region. But they fail at the Ip block which happen when they try and redeem.the code

As mentioned they are still susceptible to German laws

I bought this game off ebay, but when I put it in to play, it says this:

"The region code for this game does not match your console's region code. Please insert a game with the correct region code.

X: 5829.0 B: 1884.0

Is there anything that can be done to fix this and get it to play on my Xbox (360)?

Try going to Sign in to your Microsoft account to make sure your address information is correct. With region locked content, it's not the language that is the issue, but your actual
physical and account region. Both have to match in order to download region locked content.If that is all correct and it still won't work, try migrating your account region.

http://live.xbox.com/accountmigration For some reason on some accounts the 360 store will see you as being in a different region even if your account shows the right one so it'll give an error.

 

Thank you for your quick reply, i managed to make it work!

I changed my location of the Microsoft-Account to Austria, however, this did not seem to be the problem. When i performed the account migration and waited a bit for the servers to refresh, i was abled to redeem the code. The game is installing now.
