    Regarding the issue (Xbox wireless headset) with chat mixer not working.


    I may have found a temporary solution for people who had issues with their Xbox wireless headset.

    I was unable to use the left dial to switch between chat and game. It was like just stuck on game chat but I could still hear party. Just couldn't turn it down or up.

    I looked on google and found this post from awhile ago, but it didn't seem like anyone found a solution.

    Here's what I did to get mine working.

    -Open Chat Accessories - Press the "ellipses" under Configure - It says "No update available" -Update Anyway

    Wait til it's done updating and then try to turn the dial but do it slowly.

    I tried doing it quickly and it wouldn't work but then I did it slower and it worked fine. I could rotate the two but only so fast.

    It feels like there is a threshold limiting it to work if you "flick it" to and from.

    To do this, you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Connect the USB wireless adapter to your PC.
    2. Turn on your Xbox One wireless headset and hold down the power button on the headset until it starts flashing. This puts the headset in pairing mode.
    3. Press the pairing button on the USB wireless adapter until the LED starts flashing.
    4. Once the LED on the USB wireless adapter stops flashing and stays lit, the headset is paired with your PC.
    5. Open the Xbox Accessories app on your PC, and click on the "Xbox One Wireless Controller" device.
    6. From there, you can adjust the chat mixer settings to your liking.
    Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to use the chat mixer on your Xbox One wireless headset with your PC.

    I cant access my chat mixer its just greyed out and I cant do anything

    Are you using a wireless headset like Astro A50? If so then you have to use the physical chat mixer that is built in to the headset as the console guide chat mixer will be greyed out.

    Hi, NourHatem! thank you for your reply.

    Have you already tried adjusting your headset's chat mixer? to do so:

    • Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    • Scroll down to the speaker icon.

    • Make sure your headset's volume is turned on.

    • Adjust the headset's chat mixer.

    I'd also suggest making sure your in-game audio settings are adequate for voice chat.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you want to know how to adjust your chat mixer. To do this, press the Xbox button on the controller to open the menu. Select the Audio icon to modify the settings. On the next page, you can find three options: Headset volume, Headset chat mixer, and Mic monitoring. Make sure to set the Headset chat mixer to 40-60%.
