regarding re~setting a pass code on x~box 360

someone has put a code on my xbox 360 and forgotton what it was, so i am unable to play any games, there must be a way to reset it ??

Xbox 360 console

To remove your Microsoft account password from your Xbox 360:

Select your gamertag to sign in to your Xbox 360 console.
Go to Settings and select
Account.
Scroll right to Your Information, and then select
Account Security.
Select Password at Sign-In.
Select Require Password Here.
Note You will see a message to the right saying your Microsoft account password is required when you sign in to this console.
Sign out of your Xbox account.
Select your gamertag and sign back in to your Xbox account.
Leave the Remember Password checkbox unchecked so that your Microsoft account password is required each time you sign in.

Hi I have bought gtav for me to play on my son's x box 360 however when he originally set his x box up he put on parental controls and he cannot remember the password he used! I have tried re setting the whole settings but cannot. Any help would be greatly

Unfortunately it did not help.

What I did was this (for each code):

Have set-top box set to channel 1
Enter code -> done.
Go back out to start screen.
Press X to bring up OneGuide.
Select channel 2 and press A.

The xbox switches to TV but does not change the set-top box channel.
