Regarding Playing Halo MCC Campaign with a friend online

Hello,

For the Halo MCC, do I need game pass to play the campaigns with a friend (different consoles)? I'm aware I'll need it if I was to play multiplayer, but I only wish to play the campaign.

Yes, you will be needing Ultimate game pass subscription to play the Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) campaign with a friend on different consoles.

This is because playing the campaign cooperatively online requires access to Xbox Live Services.

On game pass, I definitely recommend Overcooked 2! You can play it alone for a definite challenge, play it with a friend, or play it with people online! It is crazy fun!

Also, if you haven’t tried Halo: MCC or Halo 5 there are plenty of campaigns, social, and ranked games to play on there!

The Halo MCC will continue to sell over the lifetime of the XB1, even after Halo 5 & 6 come out.

The game is very much worth it for Halo fans, such as myself. Especially for playing Halo 1 online with friends or Halo 2 campaign online co-op. Also Achievement hunters can have a ball with it.

There was a... ta da.... Update for Halo MCC which I downloaded about 3 hours ago 88mb big. Maybe that update fixed Multiplayer? I'm giving up with multiplayer at least until next week. All my other friends also are just playing the campaign. Am enjoying
the CE and Halo 2 campaign. One of my FAV Youtubers is even doing gameplay of MCC Halo 2 campaign on his channel.

i should mention i got halo mcc back when it was on sale in july and only played the campaigns. not sure if i had to play online in order to receive the code
