Regarding "Easy Movie Maker" app

Thanks Leonardo for your reply. This is not a major issue, it's just that when I have a short video that I have made using OBS, that is small enough to send in an email, but I want to edit it before sending the email, using Easy Movie Maker. However, after editing the video clip, it becomes much too large (in MBs) to send in an email. I was just wondering why this would happen, but it is no big deal. Thanks so much for your input though, and I will try to pursue this if only for my own curiosity.

Thank you for posting in Xbox forum.

It seems that your MP4 files became larger then you run it on Easy Movie Maker app. This is a very interesting topic, as these two container formats has its own features where one is better than the other, but in terms with video and audio quality, there should be no practical difference between an MKV format file and an MP4 file using the same settings and codecs.

There are even reports that because MKV format files can contain multiple audio and video tracks, they can end up much larger than MP4 format files.

In other words, for this to be justified, we highly recommend consulting this directly to Easy Movie Maker support. We tried to filter it out but it seems that there are numerous software named Easy Movie Maker, so we cannot determine which is which. Try searching it on your end manually

i don't know if this will work but open windows movie maker first then put the dvd in the pc,if windows media player still opens just close it and use windows movie maker.

Try Microsoft Movie Maker.
